ISDL is founded by Dr. Timothy Mutisya Ijala, an academic, researcher, and educator with extensive experience in:
Sustainability and environmental studies
Digital and emerging models of education
Higher education teaching and supervision

Dr. Ijala holds multiple doctoral and master’s degrees and has taught across primary, secondary, and tertiary education. His work focuses on bridging theory, research, and practice.

The following research-based degree programmes are under development and will be offered subject to successful registration and regulatory approval:
Research-Based Bachelor’s Degree (Honours)
A proposed undergraduate programme that develops research, analytical, and problem-solving skills through supervised inquiry into sustainability and digital learning challenges.
Research-Based Master’s Degree
Designed for professionals seeking to investigate real-world challenges through supervised research and scholarly inquiry.
Professional Doctorate (DBA / EdD-style model)
Intended for experienced practitioners wishing to generate applied knowledge that contributes to professional practice and societal development.
PhD by Research (long-term development phase)
